A serial entrepreneur and scientist, Ferber has two billion dollar IPOs to his credit; the latest of which is in the electric vehicle space. Ferber has over 10 years of experience with pioneering uses of battery technology. As Science Director at Tesla Motors, he was responsible for the company's early development of lithium battery packs. Prior work at AC Propulsion saw Ferber as a major contributor to the design of the Scion EV (EBox) conversion battery, a modified version of which is the traction battery in the BMW Mini electric. Ferber’s background also includes significant startup work in other industries. He was lured from graduate school at Caltech to become the CTO and founding technologist of eToys, Inc.; later he was the founder and CEO of e-commerce software provider OpenSales, Inc. (later Zelerate).

At ElectronVault, Maepa focuses on operations, strategy, and technology. From Johannesburg, South Africa, she leads ElectronVault Energy System’s push into the grid-scale storage space.
 
Maepa is an international serial entrepreneur who degreed at Caltech as a geobiologist focused on protein co-evolution with the Earth’s early atmosphere. Her professional experience encompasses consulting to high tech manufacturing and state government and, in academia, genomics, seismology, and paleomagnetics. She is also a small-scale organic farmer and volunteers at the board level for non-profits.

A Stanford MBA, Dave has worked in financial and IT roles throughout his career. Miller was treasurer of Qantel and CIO at DCA, Cognos and Abgenix before switching over to work in finance/IT/administration for a series of early stage medical companies including HeartPort and Genitope.

VP, Sales and Business Development
With an MBA from USF, Pugh has spent his career in international sales and business development working on three continents. He has more than 10 years experience in the automotive electronics industry. He is fluent in English, French and Italian.
 
 
Kathy Kennedy
VP, Corporate Strategy
A Kellogg MBA, Kennedy has worked for seven startups including two, Digex and Infonautics, which went public. She has worked as a product manager at Tandem Computers, ran Market Research for Palm, and ran large technical development teams for Charles Schwab.
